We gladly affirm the Baptist Faith & Message (2000). Below is a brief, plain-language summary.
The Bible—sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments—is God’s inspired and authoritative Word. It is inerrant, infallible, and fully sufficient as the final norm for faith and life.
There is one and only one living and true God—eternal, all-powerful, holy, and loving—who exists eternally as three co-equal Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Men and women are created in God’s image with great dignity, yet all have sinned and fall short of His glory. We are separated from God and unable to save ourselves.
Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. Through His perfect life, atoning death, and victorious resurrection, repentant sinners are forgiven, justified, and given new life by the Holy Spirit—not by works.
A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is an autonomous, local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel for worship, discipleship, fellowship, and mission.
Baptism (by immersion) and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances given by Christ. Baptism is the public sign of a believer’s union with Christ; the Lord’s Supper memorializes His death and anticipates His return.
It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and of every church to make disciples of all nations by sharing the gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit.
God will bring all things to their appointed end. Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead, renew creation, and dwell with His people forever.
By the Spirit, believers pursue holiness, love God and neighbor, practice justice and mercy, and live as a gospel witness in every sphere of life.
