Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2025
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (“we,” “our,” “us”) values your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect on our website and how we use it to serve our church family and neighbors.
Status of Analytics on This Site
Right now, we are not using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) or Meta Pixel on this website. We may enable one or both tools in the future to better understand how our site is used and to improve outreach. We’re including the disclosures below now for transparency so you know what would apply if we decide to move forward later. If we enable these tools, we will update this notice and request your consent before any analytics or advertising cookies are set.
Information We Collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide when you interact with the site—for example:
- Name, email, and phone when you contact us or Plan a Visit.
- Details you share in a Prayer Request.
How We Use Information
We use the information you provide to respond to messages, coordinate ministry and care, share church updates when requested, and operate our website and related communications.
Third-Party Services & Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data with trusted service providers who help us run the website and communicate with you. We disclose by category (examples in parentheses):
- Hosting & infrastructure (website hosting/CDN).
- Communications (email sending and reply handling).
- Media & embeds (e.g., YouTube). When videos are embedded, playback may allow the provider to set limited cookies; we use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode where possible.
- Analytics & measurement (not currently active) — If enabled in the future, we may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand site usage and improve the experience.
- Advertising & outreach (not currently active) — If enabled in the future, we may use Meta Pixel to reach interested neighbors on Facebook/Instagram and to understand engagement with our content.
Cookies, Consent & Your Choices
At this time, we do not set analytics or advertising cookies. If we add these tools in the future, we will ask for your permission before enabling them. You will be able to change your choice at any time, and you can also control cookies through your browser settings.
If and when GA4 is enabled, you can learn how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
If and when Meta Pixel is enabled, see Meta’s Privacy Policy for details and controls for Facebook and Instagram.
Children’s Privacy
Our website is for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us at info@ourpleasantgrove.org and we will delete it.
Security & Retention
We use reasonable safeguards and retain information only as long as needed for ministry purposes or as required by law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we enable analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this page and request consent where required.
